Everything families ask before booking — session length at each tier, what is included, where we shoot, what to wear, when you see your gallery, and how to reserve your date.
If you have a question we have not covered here, send it through the contact form — we read every one.
The Story Session runs about 60 minutes on-location — focused, relaxed, plenty of time for one child or a small family.
The Heirloom Collection gives us about 90 minutes — more time, more setup variety, more room for the in-between moments.
The Legacy Commission is our most unhurried experience — about 2 hours on-location, followed by an in-home viewing where we choose the artwork together. See session length and inclusions at each tier →
The Story Session ($800) covers a 60-minute shoot on-location, 10 hand-edited frames, travel within 25 miles of Midland, and a private online gallery with print release.
The Heirloom Collection ($1,200) covers a 90-minute shoot, 20 hand-edited frames, travel within 50 miles of Midland, the private gallery, and a $150 artwork credit toward prints or albums.
The Legacy Commission ($2,000) covers a 2-hour shoot plus in-home viewing, 30 hand-edited frames, statewide Michigan travel, the private gallery, and your choice of a signature album or a mounted wall portrait.
Sessions are always on-location. The right place is the place that means something to you — your home, a favorite park, a stretch of shoreline, downtown Midland at golden hour, the family cabin up north.
Most sessions happen within about 30 minutes of Midland. Legacy Commissions include a follow-up in-home viewing so we can see the artwork in the room where it will hang.
Yes — travel is built into each tier. The Story Session covers within 25 miles of Midland, the Heirloom Collection within 50 miles, and the Legacy Commission covers anywhere in Michigan.
If your family is beyond those radii, mention it during inquiry — most locations are workable with a small travel add-on.
Coordinated but not matching — complementary tones, textures, and layers. I prefer simple, solid colors and minimal logos or busy patterns. Think of the wall where your portrait will hang and dress to feel timeless in that room.
Once you book, I send a complete style guide so you never have to guess — what works, what to avoid, and what feels most like you. See what's included at each tier →
Gallery delivery within 3–4 weeks. Every image is individually reviewed and hand-edited — not batch processed or filtered. The file deserves a little care before it lands in your hands.
Heirloom and Legacy clients also receive a private viewing appointment where we look through the gallery together before final delivery.
Yes. I partner with a professional archival print lab that specializes in fine art papers built to last generations — cotton rag, museum-grade mounting, hand-bound albums.
Print and album pricing is shared with your gallery, and Heirloom and Legacy collections include an artwork credit toward that purchase.
Fill out the inquiry form with your preferred session type, a couple of dates that work, and a few details about your family. I respond within 48 hours to schedule a short call, send a contract, and collect a deposit.
